About Us
bRED Bakeries is owned by The Hopper Group who also own and operate 5 award winning IGA Supermarkets, including Milton and New Farm which neighbour bRED Bakeries in the same locations. bRED Bakeries came to be after The Hopper Family purchased a small bakery in the same centre as the group’s IGA Milton Supermarket.Initially the business was acquired in order to compliment the tenancy of the Supermarket, however by applying the same level of customer service, store standards and operational systems, the business became successful in its own right. When the opportunity presented itself to relocate the bakery to a larger tenancy in the same centre, the decision was made to upgrade the bakery and the bRED Bakery concept was born.
The new bakery opened in 2004 and was an immediate success, leading to the Hopper Group looking for other sites in order to expand the concept resulting in the opening of new stores at Cannon Hill and New Farm in 2007.
bRED bakeries is now managed by Raelene Hopper who has developed a range of systems aimed at increasing efficiency whilst delivering customers the highest quality product possible. This combined with friendly, knowledgeable service and the contemporary design of the stores has seen bRED Bakeries continue to enjoy fantastic growth.
